Dear all,
Sigh!!!....
For those who have been revising and putting in effort, good job. For those who did not give your best, you really have to do some reflection this holidays.
Pupils who have been playing the computer games and been involved in all distractions, you must be more discipline next year.

Friday ( 6 June) - Pg 99 - 101
Monday ( 9 June ) - Pg 15 - 18

I will provide the answers to the questions on Friday ( 13 June) and you will mark your answers using a BLUE pen. For any CORRECTIONS, please show all your workings. If you cannot solve them despite "cracking" your brain and using up all your "brain juices", circle the questions so that we can discuss them when school reopens.
Meanwhile, make good use of this holiday to READ newspapers and watch the NEWS to update yourself on what is happening in the world and in Singapore.
Do keep yourselves fit by exercising and remember to play ( physical like riding bicycle, jogging, skipping , etc, not just IPAD!!)
Will Miss all of You for 1 month,
Mrs Mak

Create questions
Dear All,
As mentioned in the class on Thursday, 17 April 2014, we are learning to craft questions.
This was the question we were discussing :
As mentioned in the class on Thursday, 17 April 2014, we are learning to craft questions.
This was the question we were discussing :
Mrs Roslan has 9 m of ribbon. She sold 1/5 m in the
morning and 7/10 m in the afternoon. How much ribbon has
she left?
Solution :
Total ----- 9 m
morning ----- 1/5 m
afternoon ---- 7 /10 m
left ---- ?
Remember her we are talking about quantity.
We must make the denominator the same and add them
2/10 + 7/10 = 9/10
9 - 9/10 = 8 1/10
She has 8 1/10 m of ribbon left.
Now, you have to clone a question. To clone it, you can keep the content the same,
just change the number.
just change the number.
Example:
Mrs Roslan has 10 m of ribbon. She sold 2 1/5 m in the morning and 4 3/10 m in the
afternoon. How much ribbon has she left?
afternoon. How much ribbon has she left?
Solution
Total ----- 10 m
morning -----2 1/5 m
afternoon ---4 3/10 m
left ---- ?
2 2/10 + 4 3/10 = 6 5/10
10 - 6 5/10 = 3 5/10
= 3 1/2
She has 3 1/2 m of ribbon left.
Of course, you can change the content by replacing it with another name and variable.
Example:
Mrs Tan has 12 kg of flour. She used 3 1/2 kg of flour in the morning and 5 3/4 kg in the
afternoon. How much flour is left?
afternoon. How much flour is left?
Solution
Total ---- 12 kg
morning -- 3 1/2 kg
afternoon --- 5 3/4 kg
3 6/12 + 5 9/12 = 8 15/12
= 9 3/12
= 9 1/4
12 - 9 1/4 = 2 3/4
She has 2 3/4 kg of flour left.
Now that you have some ideas,
Please craft 2 questions based on the question given above (in purple). One keeping the
content intact, just change the number, the other change the content, just like the two examples
given above.

given above.
Please come with solutions too.
Do them on a piece of foolscap paper and then we will discuss on Monday.

Remember to do the Onsponge Pg 75 and 77.
Happy Good Friday:))

Multiplication Tables
Dear all,
You have to master your multiplication tables in order to move forward. Please memorise the tables every night before you sleep.
Announcement
I hope you have viewed the attachment on graphs.
What I need you to do now is to tell me when do you use a bar graph and when do you use a line graph. Give me examples.
If you are not sure, view the attachment again.
Deron, thanks for your suggestion to change the name to Eagles. I thought for now, P4-3 is easy to remember. We will monitor and see how we progress in Feb and March and then we will get the class consensus on the naming of the blog, what do you think?
